Georgia fans can take comfort in the fact that they are just over a week away from getting their football fix. Spring drills at UGA begin on March 19 and it’ll mark the beginning of a five-week stretch when football will be front and center. If the past is any indication, Kirby Smart will put his team through 12 traditional practices, two closed scrimmages, and it’ll all wrap up on April 20 with his fourth G-Day as the Bulldogs’ head coach. We’ll get a look at a large group of new Bulldogs, at least 11. UGA had 14 early enrollees back in January and 11 of them will be healthy enough to fully partake in spring practice. Three more, Rian Davis (inside linebacker), Ryland Goede (tight end), and Trezmen Marshall (inside linebacker) will probably be limited for all 15 practices due to injuries that occurred before they joined the team. There’s also a chance that other players will be too banged up to fully participate but there’ll be plenty to keep an eye on.
